Mr D. I. Evans, the father of Mr Elfed Evans, started the business in 1946 as D. I. Evans & Sons, specialising in agricultural contracting and plant hire.
In 1983 upon the retirement of Mr D. I. Evans, a partnership was formed between Mr Elfed Evans and his wife Mrs Janet Evans.
The partnership continued to trade under the title of D. I. Evans & Sons until 2003, when a decision was made to become a limited company trading as D. I. Evans Cyf. Currently, another generation of the family has taken over the running of the business.
We were excited to celebrated our 70th anniversary in 2016 and in 2021 we celebrated 75 years. Our service areas include Newcastle Emlyn, Aberystwyth, Fishguard, Lampeter, Carmarthen and Ceredigion.
Over the years, our business has continued to develop and change in response to the current needs and demands of our market. The service of agricultural contracting is now minimal due to the decrease in demand and our diversification into waste disposal is the fasting growing part of our business.
The premises at Beulah is a waste transfer station with full planning permission and is licensed by National Resources Wales. The emphasis at the site is on recycling as much waste as possible. With the increase in demand for recycling, the directors of D. I. Evans Cyf feel that this is the way forward for the prosperity of the business.
The aim is to provide an efficient service to all customers within a friendly Welsh family atmosphere. The health and safety of our employees, customers and the public is always of utmost importance to us and all necessary steps are taken to ensure this.
